Meanwhile, the organizers of the 2011 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour, the UK’s biggest poker tour, have already announced the monthly dates across Britain and Ireland.
The 2011 season will kick off with a seven-day £1,000 Main Event in Manchester early next year. Other £1,000 Main Events will take place at Walsall, Blackpool, Coventry and Luton between April and November 2011.
Following the great success of the “Summer Series” of events earlier this year, the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour has confirmed that this event will be repeated next year. The small buy-in events and twin location caused poker frenzy across the UK and attracted huge numbers and guaranteed prize pools.
The first stop of the series will be held in Brighton and Dundee between May 12 and May 15 followed by further legs in Bolton and Plymouth in June and Sheffield and Southampton in July. The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour has also announced that the first poker tournament date, namely the £1,000 Main Event, will take place in November 2011.
London will host a £1,500 Main Event at the London Victoria in March and the showpiece £2,500 Grand Final will take place later in the year. The two week event will also feature a £2,500 World Heads Up Championship that will be played out between November 21 and November 4.
The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour organizers have also confirmed that there will be an extra £200,000 offered in prize money and that the highest finishers on a newly implemented leader-board will also receive a £75,000 bonus. Participants can earn points at all the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Main Events and other important side events.
