Christopher Small, a player from Christchurch, New Zealand, is honored to have been dealt the 65th billionth poker hand at Poker Stars online poker site.

This player has won tens of thousands of dollars in prize money by being the lucky player to reach this milestone.

The Poker Stars Mega Milestone promotion has been capturing the industry’s attention and drawing players to the Poker Stars site for the past few weeks while they attempted to get their hands on the cash rewards offered by the online poker room.

Poker Stars awarded a total of $770,000 in prize money during the period of the promotion with 1,600 players taking home cash.

Christopher, a multi poker player, was playing twenty four tables simultaneously after having accessed his Poker Stars account on Sunday and heading to the $0.10/$25 six man no limit hold’em poker tables.

The lucky player said “I was 24-tabling and saw the pop up telling me I was involved in the 65th billionth game.  I had ace-king when I looked at the table. My reaction was one of ‘this must be a dream. I couldn’t believe it!”

Once all the other players at the table moved all in and the board ran out Christopher Small eventually took home a whopping $68,420 with the other five players winning an amount of $1,710 each.

Since the news of Christopher Small having reached the 65th billionth milestone Poker Stars has now calculated that it is now two thirds of a way through to its 100 billionth hand.

Despite the fact that the site has suffered quite a lot since Black Friday in April, 2011, it has succeeded in paying out almost all of its US players.  Poker Stars is now looking forward to capturing more of the European market when it becomes regulated.
